MIT-3505/3510

This devices use test voltages of 250V, 500V, 1KV, 2.5KV, 5KV and 10KV (MIT-3510) giving the device the ability to measure resistance levels across a number of ranges. 

The test voltage used can be either a fixed value as defined above, or alternatively the user can use the ramp test mode as an automatic test mode which use to check for insulation breakdown. During the ramp test period, the output voltage will start at 10% of the preset voltage and increase in steps of 10% until reach the preset voltage or until a sudden drop in the measured resistance is detected.

As well as insulation resistance measurements this instrument can also be used to carry out voltage measurements from 0 to 1000V AC/DC, capacitance from 10.00-49.99μF and leakage current measurements from 0-9mA.

Once testing is completed, the tester will automatically discharge itself to maintain accuracy. Since overall reduction in insulation integrity can result in incorrect readings, the MIT-3505 also includes the ability to carry out PI, DAR and filtered resistance test mode (FR).

This tester comes as standard built into its own protective carrying case with large colour graphical touch screen. It also has built-in memory, allowing it to store and download a significant amount of testing data.

The MIT-3505 runs on rechargeable batteries and is CAT IV 1000V rated and compliant with IEC 61010-1 and IEC 61326-1.
