What you get besides the box

Buying an instrument from us comes with the part that is harder to buy: knowing whether it is the right one.

Accuracy and resolution

Advice on counts, basic accuracy and measurement speed, and which of the three actually decides your result.

Demonstration and evaluation

Try a bench meter or a clamp against your own measurements before you commit to it.

Connectivity

USB and LAN with SCPI and logging on selected models, for benches that record rather than get read.

Warranty and calibration

One year warranty, with optional UKAS calibration arranged at the time of order.

Questions we get asked

What accuracy and resolution should I choose?

For laboratory work, five and a half to six and a half digits with a low basic DC voltage accuracy. For field use, four and a half digits with good true RMS performance is usually enough, and the ruggedness matters more than the last digit.

When do I need a clamp meter rather than a multimeter?

Whenever breaking the circuit is impractical or unsafe, which is most of the time above a few amps and almost always on a live installation. A clamp reads the current through the conductor without disturbing it.

Can I log measurements to a PC?

Many bench meters carry USB or LAN with a SCPI command set, so readings can be logged and the instrument driven from a script. Check the interfaces on the model you are considering, since they differ across the range.
