Calibration

Calibrators

Multi-function and dry-block temperature calibrators, for checking the instruments everything else depends on.

  • Multi-function sourcing and measuring
  • Dry-block temperature
  • Traceable calibration available

Grounding

Clamp Earth Testers

Ground loop resistance and leakage current without breaking the bond or driving a stake.

  • No stakes and no disconnection
  • Loop resistance and leakage current
  • For bonded and meshed systems

Current

Clamp Meters

AC and DC current measurement with true RMS, read through the conductor rather than in series with it.

  • AC and DC current
  • True RMS options
  • No circuit to break

Grounding

Earth Testing Kits

Earth resistance, soil resistivity and earth voltage, by the stake methods that give a true figure.

  • Three and four pole methods
  • Soil resistivity
  • Stakes and leads supplied

Compliance

Electrical Safety Testers

Insulation resistance, hipot and ground bond, for proving a product or an installation is safe to energise.

  • Insulation resistance
  • AC and DC hipot
  • Ground bond

What you get besides the box

Buying an instrument from us comes with the part that is harder to buy: knowing whether it is the right one.

Safety and compliance

Guidance on measurement categories, hipot and ground bond testing, and what the ratings actually mean for where you are working.

Demonstration and evaluation

Try an instrument on your own installation before you commit to it.

Portable and benchtop

From site-ready testers that live in a van to high-accuracy instruments that stay on a bench.

Warranty and calibration

One year warranty, with UKAS or traceable calibration arranged at the time of order.

Questions we get asked

What measurement category do I need?

It follows where you measure rather than what you measure. CAT II for appliances and socket outlets, CAT III for distribution inside a building, CAT IV for the service entrance and anything outdoors. Match the voltage rating as well as the category: both have to cover you.

Clamp earth testing or three and four pole?

A clamp is fast and needs no stakes, which makes it the right tool on a bonded or meshed system where a return path already exists. Stake methods give a true soil and earth resistance, and are what you want on a new installation or wherever the loop can be opened.

Can you arrange calibration?

Yes, UKAS or traceable calibration for most instruments. Tell us the instrument and whether you need it before delivery or on a cycle, and we will quote it with the turnaround.
