Questions we get asked

How much bandwidth or sample rate do I need?

For an arbitrary waveform generator, aim for a sample rate at least two and a half to five times your highest output frequency, or the waveform will not keep its shape. For a spectrum analyser, pick the span and the noise floor to suit the signals you actually need to see.

What is DANL and why does it matter?

Displayed average noise level is the analyser’s own noise floor. A signal below it cannot be resolved, so a lower figure means you can see weaker signals. A preamplifier and a narrower resolution bandwidth both improve it.

Do you offer demonstrations or evaluation units?

Yes, on selected instruments. Tell us the application and the signals you are working with and we will arrange what we can.
