Purity · dew point · decomposition products · one gas sample
Testing SF6 quality has traditionally meant three instruments and three gas draws, each one venting insulating gas that has to be replaced. This takes purity, moisture and decomposition products from a single sample, cutting both the time on site and the gas lost to testing.
Purity 0 to 100% at ±0.5% · dew point to −80 °C · 1000 records over USB · 12 h battery, 6.8 kg

CBA-2SFH · 250 × 230 × 300 mm, 6.8 kg
Testing SF6 quality has traditionally meant three instruments and three gas draws, each one venting insulating gas that has to be replaced. Every draw costs gas. Taking all three measurements from the same sample is what makes routine testing affordable.
0 to 100% at ±0.5% in under two minutes, temperature compensated so the reading holds across the working range rather than drifting with the day.
A high-precision sensor reads dew point and micro water in ppm, settled about three minutes after power-on.
SO₂ and H₂S to 200 ppm and CO to 1000 ppm on electrochemical cells, with HF to 10 ppm as a factory option.
The connectors close as they part, so no gas escapes at the joint when connecting or disconnecting.
A built-in lithium pack runs for more than twelve hours, and the instrument works equally from 100 to 240 V mains.
The probe zeroes itself before each measurement, so zero-point error and drift are removed rather than accumulating between services.
HF detection and the automatic pipeline cleaning device are both specified with the order rather than fitted later.
Repeatability is 2% or better on all four decomposition channels, each stable across its full measuring range.

|---|---|---|---|
| Purity and moisture | |||
| SF6 purity | 0 to 100% | — | ±0.5% |
| Dew point | −80 to +20 °C | — | ±0.5 °C (−80 to −60 °C) |
| Decomposition products · repeatability 2% or better on all four | |||
| Hydrogen sulphide, H₂S | 0 to 200 ppm | ≤0.1 ppm | ±0.5% |
| Sulphur dioxide, SO₂ | 0 to 200 ppm | ≤0.1 ppm | ±0.5% |

| Hydrogen fluoride, HF (optional) | 0 to 10 ppm | ≤1 ppm | ±0.5% |
| Measurement and response times | |||
| SF6 purity | Under 2 minutes | — | — |
| Dew point, from power-on | About 3 minutes to a settled reading | — | — |
| Response, drying (−60 to +20 °C) | 63% in 5 s | 90% in 45 s | At +20 °C |
| Response, wetting (+20 to −60 °C) | 63% in 10 s | 90% in 240 s | At +20 °C |
Wetting is far slower than drying, which is normal for this sensor type: a sensor that has been reading dry gas takes about four minutes to reach 90% when moved to a wetter sample, so allow for it when moving between compartments. HF is factory-fitted and must be specified with the order.
Everything you need after the measurement is on the back: a thermal printer for a ticket at the equipment, USB for the full record, the exhaust and the charging inlet.
Prints the reading at the equipment, so a result is signed off on site rather than transcribed later from a screen.
Type B socket to a PC. The supplied software pulls all stored records off for analysis and export.
The exhaust from the measuring path, so sampled gas can be routed to recovery rather than vented into the switchroom.
Dedicated charge inlet for the internal lithium pack, ten hours for a full charge.
The air outlet matters as much as the couplings: sampled gas leaves by a known route, so it can go to recovery rather than into the switchroom.

HF detection and the pipeline cleaning device are ordered with the instrument, so neither can be added later. Results print at the equipment, and 1000 sets are held for the report.
